CARTERSVILLE, GA — Here are three things you should know about the Cartersville City Schools Board of Education meeting that took place Monday night:
The board approved a 2022 fiscal year budget of just more than $125.7 million. The budget is $3.69 million less than first proposed in May but more than double last year’s budget because of planned construction, according to The Daily Tribune-News.
A contractor was chosen for one of those projects. The board chose Parrish Construction Group of Alpharetta for Cartersville High School’s Phase II construction project, valued at $18.7 million. Parrish’s website shows experience with numerous schools and public buildings.
