Adairsville Man Charged With Entering Auto

A woman said an Apple iPad and backpack were taken from her vehicle on Dec. 1, Adairsville police said.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — Adairsville police charged a man accused of taking items from a woman's vehicle after he allegedly pawned one of those objects at a local business.

An officer was dispatched on Saturday, Dec. 1 to a call of an entering auto at a residence on Elm Street. The cop met with a woman who said several items were taken from her vehicle during the overnight items. Some of those items included an Under Armour backpack and an Apple iPad, Adairsville police said.

The officer continued the investigation by combing through numerous surveillance cameras in the area for footage of the accused thief.

However, the officer soon discovered one of the items allegedly stolen had been taken to a pawn shop. That establishment provided police with the name and address of the man who pawned the property, who was identified as Adairsville resident Malcolm Mondelle McConnell.

McConnell was arrested Dec. 4 and charged with entering auto and felony probation violation. He remains at the Bartow County Jail without bond.
