Arson Suspected In Cassville Road Fire, Woman Charged: Police

Authorities believe a partially demolished house on Cassville Road was intentionally torched. On Monday, a suspect was arrested.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A Bartow County woman was arrested Monday, accused of torching an old house that was already partially demolished.

Elizabeth Nicole Masters, 43, of Cartersville is charged with two counts of felony arson in connection with a fire Thursday that destroyed what was left of a century-old house at 32 Cassville Road.

Authorities said a joint investigation between Cartersville’s police and fire departments pointed to Masters as the only suspect in the case.

Masters was in the Bartow County jail as of Tuesday afternoon, with bond set at $15,000.
