Researcher Amy Young will share her research on religion and specifically the Baptist faith in the history of Bartow County on August 21. The presentation will be at noon at the Bartow History Museum found at 4 E Church St. in Cartersville, the museum said in a news release.

"For anyone who has traveled in the southernmost parts of the Appalachian Mountains, there is a fact that is entirely clear," Young said in the release. "It is impossible to go more than five miles without passing a meeting house off the side of the road, to see the standard 'old country church on a hill.'"

This program is free for members and included in the price of admission to the museum for non-members.
