Cartersville Assistant Planner To Become Rome Assistant Manager
Cartersville assistant city planner Meredith Ulmer is expected to join Rome as its assistant city manager, according to published reports.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Cartersville’s assistant city planner is moving to Rome to be its new assistant city manager.
Meredith Ulmer, who’s been with the City of Cartersville since 2014, is expected to start her new job sometime in mid-June, according to a report in The Rome News-Tribune.
Ulmer previously had served Cartersville as city clerk and code enforcement officer, according to her LinkedIn profile. Before that, she was a professor at Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville and a case manager with the Georgia Department of Human Services in Cherokee County. Ulmer holds a master’s degree in public administration from Kennesaw State University and bachelor’s degree in political science from Brenau University.

Ulmer replaces Patrick Eidson who left Rome in December to become Carrollton’s city manager, according to the Floyd County newspaper.
