Cartersville Bluegrass & Folk Festival On Oct. 20
The sixth annual festival will be held in downtown Cartersville, and features live music, food and children's activities.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Organizers are in the midst of planning for the 2018 Cartersville Bluegrass & Folk Festival, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 in the downtown area.
The sixth annual festival, organized by the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority, includes free admission as well as free children's activities, music and parking. Originally launched in October 2013, the festival features two music stages, vendors and a children's area.
For the 2018 show, you can expect 14 performers on two stages and vendors specializing in retail and handcrafted products, food and beverages.

The music lineup for the Depot Stage includes:
- 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Luther's Mountain
- 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.: Max & Maggie and the Sugar Creek Stompers
- 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.: The Wiseman Brothers
- 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.: Old Mill Road Band
- 3:30 p .m. to 4:15 p.m. Sainte Jane
- 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.: Wyatt Espalin
- 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Edgar Loudermilk Band Featuring Jeff Autry

- Noon to 12:45 p.m.: Harris Kendrick
- 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.: Kris Youmans
- 2 p.m.. to 2:45 p.m.: Jayron Weave
- 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.: Double Cross Band
- 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.: Bonaventure Quartet
- 5:30 p..m. to 7:15 p.m. Curtis Jones & Primal Roots

The youngsters won't be left out in the cold when it comes to activities. The Kids Zone will be located in the parking lot next to the fountain and will include face and pottery painting, inflatables, a visit from Sweet Pea the Bubbles Lady, painting the train and fishing in the fountain.
Some of the retail and handcrafted vendors that will be on hand include the Cartersville DDA, Glam & Shine Paparazzi Accessories, Honor Country, Southern Rustics Custom Furniture, The Good Dog Shoppe, Hippie Kids, Linn’s Creations, Southern Joy Candles, Timeless Soap, Ricki’s Wood Works and Charley’s Dollhouse.
Most importantly, a variety of food and drink vendors will be on hand providing bites and sips for you to enjoy while you peruse the festival area. Come prepared to munch on goodies from places such as Charbucks Mobile, Johnny Mitchells Smokehouse, Punky’s Pickles, Taverna Mediterranean Grill and Pop Top Kettle Corn, LLC. Of course you will be able to wash all this good stuff down with beer from Woodstock-based Reformation Brewery and soft drinks, water, beer and wine from The Local Bar and Grill.
