Cartersville Christmas Parade, Sip ‘N Stroll Set For Dec. 5
Tickets are on sale for the Dec. 5 Sip 'N Stroll held by the Bartow History Museum. It will be held after the Cartersville Christmas Parade.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow History Museum will host the Sip ‘N Stroll Dec. 5 following the Cartersville Christmas parade. This alcohol-free walking tour will look at Christmas traditions of old. Using photos from the Bartow History Museum archives, tour members will get to look at how decorations, traditions, and presents have changed in Cartersville over the years, and how in some ways the holiday season has remained timeless.
Participants will meet at the TRC building at 1 North Gilmer Street at 5:30 p.m., where private parking is reserved in your name. Once gathered, you and your tour guide will walk to a designated spot to take in the parade, which begins 6 p.m.
After the parade passes, a private walking tour will begin to the Bartow History Museum for cookies, cocoa, and Christmas carols. Tickets are required in advance. Adult tickets are $12 and student (ages 6 - 18) tickets are $10.

The Cartersville Exchange Club Christmas Parade, presented by Schottenkirk Honda, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 5. Proceeds from the annual Christmas Parade and the “Bucket Bridgade” benefit Advocates for Children, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County, and Bartow Christmas Coalition.
Organizers say parade line-up begins at 4 p.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church parking lot.
To enter a float or vehicle the costs are: $75 non-commercial float, $150 commercial float, $125 non-commercial vehicle, $200 commercial vehicle. There is a $50 late fee to sign up after Nov. 28.
Tabernacle Church Parking lot is used for parade lineup beginning at 4 p.m. Parking is very limited at that site. Parking is available downtown, at the courthouse, and along the streets.
Weather can be cold, so plan accordingly. Candy and literature may be handed out by adult walkers beside the float, but throwing any items from the float is prohibited.
