Cartersville Medical Center To Be Sold To Atlanta-based Piedmont
Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta announced Monday it will buy Cartersville Medical Center, with the purchase set to close in July.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare announced Monday that it will buy Cartersville Medical Center, with the purchase set to close July 31.
The Bartow County facility is one of four in Georgia that Piedmont will buy from HCA Healthcare. The other three are Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, and Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside in Macon.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Piedmont,” Kevin Brown, president and CEO of Piedmont Healthcare, said in a statement Monday announcing the purchase agreement. “HCA Healthcare has instilled a high standard of care into these facilities, and we are proud that they have trusted Piedmont to continue this legacy.

Cartersville Medical Center, with 119 beds and a level-iii trauma center, was recently ranked one of the safest hospitals in Georgia by a nationwide watchdog group.
Piedmont Healthcare owns numerous hospitals and clinics throughout Georgia. Its flagship facility is Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
