Cartersville's Tellus Museum Offers New Adults Only Class

At the Tellus Museum learn about weather on other planets in Wildest Weather in the Solar System. You can also enjoy the Discovery Garden.

CARTERSVILLE, GA - Come beat the winter blues. The Tellus Museum, 100 Tellus Dr, is offering an adults only class

As part of its Sips & Science program the Tellus Museum is offering Frosty Friday Jan. 17 frpm 7 to 11 pm. Ages 21 and older only. Photo ID required.

In the Planetarium, learn about weather on other planets in Wildest Weather in the Solar System. In Discovery Garden, be sure to check out Measurement Rules – the museum's current interactive exhibit where you can find out how tall you are in apples, inches, and pennies.

Tickets include Museum admission, one drink ticket, light snacks, a Planetarium show, and hands-on activities.

During this adults-only evening, you can feel like a kid again as you make ice cream, cut out snowflakes, and make origami crystals. There will be a mineral and fossil show-and-tell with Curator Ryan Roney and paleontology volunteer Bill Montante. And to top off all the fun, the Tellus Madd Scientists will be putting on a wacky winter show that is sure to lift your spirits.
