Christmas-Tree Lighting, Parade Planned For Cartersville In 2020

A Christmas-tree lighting, a parade and a holiday laser show are scheduled Dec. 3 in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Pandemic or not, Cartersville will celebrate the coming Christmas season with a tree lighting, a parade and a laser show.

Cartersville will hold its Exchange Club Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., with a tree lighting planned the same day. The parade will start from the parking lot of Tabernacle Baptist Church at 112 E. Church St., where very limited parking is available. All fees for entering a vehicle or float in the parade are donated to local charities. For more information, call 770-382-8571, stop by the Cartersville Animal Hospital at 109 E. Starting on Dec. 3 and running through Dec. 6, a Christmas Laser Light Show will be staged twice nightly at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at Sam Smith Park, 1150 Douhit Ferry Road in Cartersville. Tickets are available online, at a flat fee no matter how many people are in a vehicle. Viewers are invited to sit outside their vehicles while observing social distancing.
