Galt's Ferry Day Use Area To Close For Paving
The facility will close Sept. 12 and is expected to reopen Sept. 18.

ACWORTH, GA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Allatoona Lake Project is scheduled to close Galt’s Ferry Day Use Area and boat ramp next week to pave the parking lots.
The closure will start Monday, Sept. 12 and the lots are expected to reopen Sept. 18, the agency said Wednesday.
The Galt’s Ferry Day Use Area is located on 7299 Rocky Lane in Acworth. Residents are asked to consider using other available locations to launch boats, fish and picnic for activities.

Other suggested locations are Payne Ramp or Victoria Day Use areas.
The Payne Ramp is located at 2495 Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth and the Victoria Day Use Area is at 955 Victoria Landing Drive in Woodstock.
