GDOT Completes Ga. 140 Widening In Bartow County
The one-mile stretch was widened from Oothkalooga Creek to U.S. 41/SR 3 in Adairsville.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation has wrapped up a project to widen a one-mile stretch of Ga. 140 in Bartow County.
All lanes of the highway from Oothkalooga Creek to U.S. 41/SR in Adairsville are now open for motorists to use, Georgia DOT spokesperson Mohamed Arafa said.
This widening and reconstruction project on S.R. 140 also included the construction of two bridges and their approaches over the creek.

“Although some minor work remains to be done, this construction project is completed for all practical purposes, as far as the traveling public is concerned,” said Grant Waldrop, district engineer at the DOT office in Cartersville. “We understand the inconvenience this project has caused the area residents and we are glad to finish our construction work and give the highway to the traveling public."
