Douglas County Student Competes on 'Chopped Junior'

Rose Genter, a sixth-grader at Factory Shoals Middle School, competed on "Chopped Junior" this past Tuesday, Feb. 14. Rose is no stranger to the kitchen. She has her own food blog, called "Oh Grate!" where she writes both about cooking and restaurants she visits.

Sandra Bullock Renting Out Her Tybee Island Beach House

Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock is renting out her Tybee Island beach house for $1,400 a night. The property boasts an ocean view, four bedrooms, and a large swimming pool. The Tybee House, nicknamed Elbaroda Hideaway, sits just 50 yards from the shore and includes private beach access. You can check out more pictures of the property here.

Five-Car Crash In Douglasville Kills Two

A Wednesday-night car accident in Douglasville left two dead and several injured. After being rear-ended, a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck was forced into traffic where it hit a blue Toyota Camry head-on. As of Thursday morning the state patrol had not released the names of those involved as family members were still being notified.

Atlanta Movie Casting: 'Pitch Perfect 3' Seeking Aquarium Extras

"Pitch Perfect 3," which is slated to be released during Winter 2017, is currently filming in and around Atlanta. Producers are seeking extras for several roles including "upscale New York types" who will appear as patrons at a fancy aquarium fundraiser.

Reinhardt Launches Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

Reinhardt University has launched a bachelor of science in nursing program in Cherokee County. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program will be launched with 40 students for the 2017-2018 school year. According to Dr. Kina Mallard, president of Reinhardt University, an additional 40 students will be added annually.
