Gunshots Fired Into Door During Home Invasion, 2 Arrested: Police
A Tennessee man and woman are facing charges after gunshots were fired into a door during an attempted home invasion in Bartow County.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA -- The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has charged a Tennessee man and woman after gunshots were fired into a door, at 200 East Pleasant Valley Road, during an attempted home invasion March 11. The woman who lived there and was not injured.
After an investigation, Wilmar Perez, 36, and Katherine Barlow, 28, both of Cleveland, Tennessee, were arrested and charged with numerous charges, according to Sheriff Clark Millsap.
Perez' charges: armed robbery, aggravated assault (2 counts), violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act - possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal trespass, burglary 2nd degree, unlawful for inmate to possess any controlled substance, and theft by taking. Barlow's charges: armed robbery, aggravated assault (2 counts), burglary 2nd degree, and unlawful for inmate to possess any controlled substance.

Just before 1 p.m., the woman, whose home was invaded, called 911 reporting that a man was outside her home and had fired shots into her door, according to Millsap. Deputies and investigators responded and the first deputy on scene stopped a black SUV leaving the driveway. A woman driver, Barlow, and a man passenger, Perez, were detained at the time for investigation.

Investigators determined that the parties knew each other and that this was not a random crime.
Wilmar and Perez are incarcerated in the Bartow County Jail pending a Superior Court bond hearing, according to police.
