Harlem Globetrotters Take The Court Thursday at LakePoint

The team will play an exhibition game at the Emerson sporting facility at 7 p.m. Dec. 8.

EMERSON, GA -- Bartow County residents will be able to see the world famous Harlem Globetrotters in action Thursday as the team hosts an exhibition game at Lakepoint Sporting Community.

The game will be held at the Emerson facility's new Champions Center, and will start at 7 p.m. Dec. 8.

The Globetrotters have been hosting an annual training camp at the Champions Center since Nov. 28.

“To have a prestigious and historic organization, such as the Harlem Globetrotters, choose LakePoint as the new site of their training camp, really helps to confirm the Champions Center as one of the premier indoor sports venues in the nation,” said Earl Ehrhart, CEO of LakePoint Sporting Community. “We are excited for the opportunity to open our doors to the local community and give everyone the chance to enjoy the highly entertaining show the Globetrotters will put on.”

The exhibition game will provide fans with the opportunity to purchase general admission or floor seating. Additionally, Magic Pass, a special pre-game meet and greet with the stars of the Harlem Globetrotters, will be available for purchase.

LakePoint has also partnered with Bartow County and surrounding school districts to host a special presentation at noon Thursday, Dec. 8.

This presentation will consist of the ‘Harlem Globetrotters Experience’ and the ABC’s of Bullying Prevention, signature programs from the Harlem Globetrotters. In working with the local schools, LakePoint has extended an invitation to all area fourth graders to attend this free daytime performance and are expecting up to 2,500 students to attend.

LakePoint and the Globetrotters share a similar mission to give back to the community and to make a positive impact on lives through sport.
