'How to Start Your Own Food Truck' Workshop Coming Up in Cartersville
Learn the ins and outs of permitting, financing, and booking lucrative gigs, hosted by Street Food 101 and the Chamber of Commerce.
Ever dreamed of owning your own food truck, sharing your favorite recipes with your community while making a living?
The Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce invites all aspiring food-truck operators to attend a workshop on Aug. 12, called "Street Food 101."
The workshop will be run by Greg Smith, president of the Atlanta Street Food Coalition and an attorney specializing in small business matters.

Chamber representatives say Street Food 101 is "an in-depth workshop designed to take you through the ins and outs of mobile food entrepreneurship."
"If you are interested in operating your own food truck, trailer or cart, but are mystified by the permitting processes, business financing and other issues facing food startups -- this class is for you," the Chamber advertised.

The workshop will also include tips for how to use a food truck or other mobile food business to gain lucrative catering and special event bookings.
Lunch and a tour of several local food trucks will take place after the workshop.
The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the Anheuser-Busch Community Room at the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, 122 W. Main St. in Cartersville.
Registration is $125 before July 31, and $155 after. Interested attendees can get more information and register online.
