I-75 Bridge Repair Complete, All Lanes Reopen To Traffic
Georgia DOT crews have repaired the concrete slab on the approach to the I-75 bridge over Allatoona Dam Road in Bartow County.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation said it has completed the repairs to the approach to the Interstate 75 bridge over Allatoona Dam Road in Bartow County.
All three southbound lanes have reopened to traffic. As readers recall, a concrete slab was damaged Thursday afternoon at the approach to the bridge and crews were forced to close two of the three lanes of the interstate to accommodate this emergency repair.
"A big shout out to all hardworking men and women who have been working non-stop," the Georgia DOT - Northwest said early Sunday on its Facebook page. "Thank you all for a job well done. Thank you to each and every member of the traveling public for your cooperation and patience. Well done everyone."

GDOT worked continuously Thursday, Friday, Saturday and into the early hours Sunday to do the work necessary to reopen the lanes to the traveling public.
