LakePoint To Host Big Peach Slam Jam
BlazeSports America's inaugural, two-day event will feature more than 150 athletes aged six to 18 representing 15 teams from across the U.S.
EMERSON, GA -- BlazeSports America will bring its inaugural Big Peach Slam Jam wheelchair invitational basketball tournament to Bartow County this weekend.
The two-day event, set for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6, will bring wheelchair youth athletes from across the southeast and United States to the LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson.
More than 150 athletes aged six to 18 representing 15 teams will compete at both the varsity and prep levels, with an anticipated attendance of 400 people including athletes, coaches, families, spectators and more.

“We’re extremely excited to host our inaugural Big Peach Slam Jam at the beautiful LakePoint Sporting facility, and providing an incredible weekend of competition with some of best youth wheelchair basketball athletes around,” said BlazeSports America Executive Director Cynthia Frisina. “BlazeSports America proudly hosts competitions like this one for wheelchair basketball, and other adaptive sports throughout the year, and we’re thrilled to host this large-scale tournament welcoming athletes with physical disabilities from across the country.”
The Big Peach Slam Jam kicks off at 8 a.m. Nov. 5 with the first round of varsity games, followed by Prep games at 9 a.m., and lasting into the early evening. Competition resumes at 8 a.m. Nov. 6 with the championship match starting at 12:30 p.m., followed by the tournament awards ceremony.
