In Memory: Addie Dakota Edens, 3

Addie, who overcame many health obstacles, loved music, taking selfies with her mom and playing outside with her siblings.

Editor's note: the following obituary was submitted by Owen Funeral Home.

Addison "Addie" Dakota Edens, age, 3, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Addie was born on April 10, 2014, in Kennesaw, the daughter of Christopher Lee Edens and Jennifer Diane Buchanan Edens.

Addie always had a smile on her face, but could also give everyone her cute "mean look." She was a determined little fighter, overcoming many health obstacles in her short three years. She absolutely loved playing with her brother, stealing his toys while showing him her cute smile. She loved being outside, playing in the dirt and catching butterflies. She and her siblings loved running around the yard playing "tag" and playing hide-n-seek indoors on a rainy day.

She would also race her pink convertible car while listening to her MP3 player. She had a great love for music and was learning to play the guitar with her dad. She loved to take selfies with her mom, laughing and smiling as they made goofy faces.

She is survived by her parents; brother, Brodie Edens; sisters, Angel Felker and Jorden Edens; grandparents, Tim and Linda Edens, Jimmy Buchanan, Loretta (Steve) Shiflett and Patricia Dixon; great-grandmother, Gloria Hunsinger "Granny Goo"; uncles, James Anderson, Blake Buchanan, Scotty King; aunts, Stacy Browning, Haley Holmes and Taylor McDade; a host of loved cousins.
