In Memory: Christopher Gorrie Sr., 40, Loved Fishing, Camping

Mr. Christopher Morris Gorrie, Sr., age 40, of Cartersville, died Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was born in Albany, Georgia, on Dec. 11, 1976, and was the son of Patricia Gorrie and the late Robert David Gorrie, Sr.

Christopher was employed by G&G Worx as a commercial electrician. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was an avid and loyal Georgia Bulldog fan.

He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Taylor Marie Gorrie. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Gorrie of Cartersville; his sons, Christopher Morris Gorrie, Jr. of Woodstock and Austin Alexander Gorrie of Cartersville; two grandchildren, Rilee Alyse Gorrie and Felicity Danielle Gorrie both of Albany, Georgia; his sister, Amanda Crawford of Danville, Virginia; his brother David Gorrie, Jr. and his wife Sherri of Acworth; along with a niece and several nephews.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family received friends on Monday prior to the service.
