In Memory: Lane Daniel Brown, 23

Brown, a Cartersville High School graduate and member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, loved hiking and helping people.

Lane Daniel Brown, age 23, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019. Lane was born on Aug. 22, 1995, in Gainesville, Florida, and was the son of Rev. Richard Brown and Denise McGlamery Brown. Lane graduated from Cartersville High School, where he was a member of the band and the wrestling team.

He earned his associate's degree in Communications from Georgia Highlands College. Lane was very kindhearted, selfless and a true friend to everyone he knew. His laughter was contagious and never failed to make others smile. In his spare time he enjoyed, hiking, going to the gym and reading. Lane was a proud and active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and faithful in his church Life Group. He enjoyed being a part of mission trips and any opportunity to help people.

Lane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wesley Carl Brown and Myrtice Burgess Brown. Lane is survived by his parents; sisters, Haley and Erin Brown; grandparents, John R. McGlamery and Matilda Baggett McGlamery; uncle, Brant (Angie) McGlamery; aunts, Shena (Carlos) Hernandez and Susan Wright; cousins, Wesley Dekle, Alexa Hernandez, Jackson McGlamery, Jordan and Griffin Rosengart.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lane's honor to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund at 112 E Church Street in Cartersville.
