Michael Allman To Perform In Downtown Cartersville

Michael Allman will take the stage in downtown Cartersville for the second installation of the Music by the Tracks summer concert series.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- On Saturday, June 15, Michael Allman will take the stage in downtown Cartersville for the second installation of the Music by the Tracks summer concert series. These concerts are presented by Georgia Highlands College, H&R Block, Hotel Meeting Match, Southern Devil Harley-Davidson, and Century Bank of Georgia, and continue to grow in popularity because of these organization’s support. The concerts are free to attend and begin at 6 p.m. in the downtown plaza. It is a rain or shine event.

The opening acts take the stage from 6 – 7 p.m. and are of winners from the Daniel Lieving Open Mic Competition. The Michael Allman Band will come on at 7 p.m., and perform until 9 p.m..
The lead singer and band’s namesake, Michael Allman, is the son of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Greg Allman from the Allman Brothers. Michael Allman has a southern, rock and roll blues sound, and will be a fun band to dance to all evening.

Hannah Surrett, marketing and promotions coordinator for the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority, said, “This is the first time Michael Allman has performed in downtown Cartersville, and I’m looking forward to seeing this band live. I’ve watched videos of their performances, and I think they’ll draw a dynamic and fun crowd to downtown Cartersville. Their notoriety and music genre will make for a crowded downtown on June 15!”

"The Downtown Development Authority so thankful to H&R Block, Hotel Meeting Match,
Southern Devil Harley-Davidson, Century Bank of Georgia, and Georgia Highlands College for their sponsorship of the Music by the Tracks concert series," she said. "Their generous contribution is what has helped up improve our caliber of artists that will be performing in this concert series. This year we were also able to add a fifth concert, which took place in May. The Music by the Tracks concert series is every third Saturday from May – September."

This concert is free admission and a great time to spend with friends and family. Attendees may bring their blankets or lawn chairs to the event, or grab one of the seats in the amphitheater. A warm summer night is a perfect time to sit back, relax, and enjoy some drinks if you so wish. The Local Bar and Grill will be onsite selling both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Coconuts, Mellow Mushroom, and Taverna Mediterranean Grill will also be in attendance selling delicious cuisine and desserts.

The Downtown Development Authority is selling five VIP tables per event, with eight seats per table. These tables are an excellent opportunity to treat your friends, family, or co-workers to a special evening.
