ATLANTA, GA — March Madness is finally here and Georgia State made into the big dance. The NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament begins Tuesday, with the First Four and ends April 8 with the National Championship game. The 2019 NCAA men's basketball national tournament will be much like the March Madness of years past: Duke's No. 1 overall. North Carolina's in. Michigan's set. Defending champion Villanova gets a chance to repeat.

Georgia State is the No. 14 seed, making their fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament beginning Friday. They will face the No. 3 seed, Houston, in a Midwest Region first-round contest in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Georgia State earned a 24-9 record in 2019, making its second-straight appearance for the first time in program history. This is the third time they've been in the tourney in the last five years.
