New Sunday Alcohol Sale Times Begins Dec. 1
Cartersville passed a bill which will allow alcohol sales to occur a bit earlier Sundays.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — Sunday sales of alcohol go into effect on Dec. 1, according to a post by the Cartersville Police Department's Facebook page.
Any restaurant or hotel which gets at lease half of its sales from prepared meals or food, or at least half of its sales from renting rooms for overnight lodging, respectively, will be able to sell alcohol between 11 a.m. and midnight.
11Alive reported that last year, Georgia allowed cities to vote on whether to move alcohol sales earlier from 12:30 p.m. to 11 a.m.

With the new allowance come specifications of restrictions on when establishments can pour alcoholic drinks:
- No pouring is allowed between 1:30 and 11 a.m. on Sunday
- No pouring is allowed between 12:30 and 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday
- No pouring is allowed between 1:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday
No wine, malt beverages or distilled spirits can be consumed on the premises of the bar or restaurant between:

- No drinking is allowed between 2 and 11 a.m. on Sunday
- No drinking is allowed between 12:30 and 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday
