CARTERSVILLE, GA — The popular Netflix series “Ozark” will be filming scenes for its final season Friday night at Bartow County’s landfill and nearby Allatoona Dam Road.

Because the shoot is at night, “the negative impact to traffic / citizens will be very minimal,” said Bartow County Clerk Kathy Gill.

Gill told The Daily Tribune News in Cartersville that Bartow County has attracted numerous movie and TV shoots over the last few years, thanks to its proximity to production facilities in Atlanta.

Movies that have used Bartow County as a backdrop include “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” “The Fundamentals of Caring” and “90 Minutes in Heaven.”

In fact, Bartow has drawn so many shoots that the county enacted an ordinance in 2014 requiring production companies to apply for permits for road closures, use of pyrotechnics and the like.
