Panel Explores Ways To Keep Kids Safe In Digital Age

Law enforcement officials and others will provide tips to parents at a panel scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Anyone who cares for a child who uses a smart phone or tablet should consider joining a panel discussion that will provide tips on how to keep your babies safe.

The panel discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Family Life Center at Sam Jones United Methodist Church in Cartersville.

Representatives from several agencies on the front lines of fighting child predators will take part in the panel, and these experts will arm you with the advice necessary to keep up with the changing times.

They will educate you, as a parent or guardian, on how you can equip your children with knowledge of the traps set by online predators and traffickers. Officials from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office, Cartersville Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Homeland Security, District Attorney's Office, school representatives and members from the Children's Advocacy Center will be on hand for the discussion.
