Police Release 911 Call By Father of Missing 7-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Lake
Kammarie Wash's parents are now suspects in her death.

Police have released a recording of the 911 call made by the father of 7-year-old Kammarie Wash, who was found dead in a nearby lake.
Michael Wash, 37, called 911 the morning of June 30 to report that he had woken up that morning to discover his daughter was missing.
As WSB-TV reports, there are discrepancies between the story Wash told police that morning and what police discovered during their investigation.

When police responded to the Wash home June 30, Wash said he had checked on his daughter in her bedroom before going to sleep the night before, and said she was definitely there asleep in her bed. He said in the morning, he discovered Kammarie was gone, and said the front door was open.

However, the body of a child--later confirmed to be Kammarie Wash's--had been discovered by fisherman, floating in nearby Allatoona Lake, a full 24 hours before Wash's call was placed.
Police told WSB-TV they are now confident that the body had been in the lake for at least several days.
As Patch previously reported, Michael Wash and his girlfriend, Lasherae Davis, 30, have both been arrested in connection with Kammarie's death.
Wash has been charged with one count of concealing the death of another, giving false statements, two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree, cruelty to children in the third degree and aggravated assault.
Davis has been charged with concealing the death of another, giving false statements, party to the crime of aggravated assault, party to the crime of cruelty to children in the third degree and two counts of party to the crime of cruelty to children in the first degree.
Police said the case is now being investigated as a homicide, though Kammarie's exact cause of death has not yet been determined.
WSB-TV reports that both Wash and Davis are due to be in court Friday for an arraignment hearing.
