Shooting Suspect Arrested After Threatening To Kill Man
The 18-year-old Cartersville resident is accused of firing a handgun towards a vehicle after it made a wrong turn into a neighborhood.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — An 18-year-old man accused of firing a gun at a vehicle and injuring a passenger after the car made a wrong turn onto a street was arrested weeks after the shooting was reported to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.
Jody Terrell Hollamon of Cartersville is charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a gun and one count each of obstruction, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, cruelty to children, criminal damage to property in the first degree and terroristic threats.
Hollamon was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 27 after a man called sheriff's deputies to a home on Quail Ridge Drive SE to report the suspect allegedly threatened to kill him if he didn't leave the residence. Hollaman initially fled the home, but was found hiding in the woods by a sheriff's deputy who responded to the call. He was detained and later taken into custody.

Hollamon appeared on the sheriff's office's radar when deputies were dispatched to a call of shots fired on Westwood Drive around 4:52 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Deputies arrived and met with an Adairsville police officer who lives in the community. The cop said he was washing his boat when he heard several gunshots come from the front of the neighborhood.

Moments after hearing the gunshot, the officer said he observed a dark-colored vehicle pull up and a man he had been shot get out of the vehicle. Another neighbor arrived at the scene, and transported the male to the hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle said he and a group of people, including a one-year-old child, were following another vehicle to a music studio when the car in front of them made a wrong turn into the neighborhood.
"He said he observed the friend quickly turn around and exit the neighborhood," According to the report. "He said when he turned into the neighborhood to turn around, he heard gun shots and could hear the bullets hitting the side of the car and quickly sped away. He said he never saw who was shooting."
The driver of the first car said just before entering the neighborhood, he saw a man standing on the corner near a tree. As soon as he turned on to the street, that same man produced a handgun and started shooting at the car.
Three bullet holes were observed on the passenger side doors, and several spent shell casings were found in the front yard of the home on Quail Ridge Drive.
Hollamon was booked into the Bartow County Jail at 9:45 p.m. Nov. 27 and remains held without bond.
