A Woodstock man charged with the brutal stabbing death of his mother remains in the Bartow County jail after he was denied bond.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — Bond has been denied for a Woodstock man charged with murder in connection with the brutal stabbing death of his mother.
Bryan Ray Moodie, 38, was denied bond in Bartow County Magistrate Court. Authorities said they believe Moodie stabbed to death his mother, Kay Garrity, 62, at his brother’s house in White where the two were pet-sitting.
Moodie was spotted outside the house next morning by neighbors, wearing only his underwear. The brother found Garrity’s body when he returned home about nine hours later.
