Sternum Rub Needed To Wake Up McDonalds Drunk: Cartersville Crime
Forgery, marijuana-possession and public drunkenness were some arrests reported by Cartersville Police this week.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the city. Arrests do not equal convictions.
- A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of marijuana-possession, less than 1 oz and public drunk, April 15, at the McDonald's located at 266 N Dixie Ave. According to a police report, the man, with unzipped pants was lying in a booth at the restaurant, passed out. After a few attempts, the police officer was able to wake the man with a "sternum rub," according to the report. The man was "was severely inebriated and was extremely incoherent," the report said.
- A 33-year-old man was arrested on a charge of probation violation, April 16.
- An 18-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of forgery-4th amount of less than $1,500 or less than ten checks, April 17. According to a police report, the woman was trying to pass a fraudulent check for $396.92 at 323 E. Church St/Synovus Bank. The teller at the bank recognized the format of the check was wrong, the report said.
- A 21-year-old man was arrested on a charge of failure to appear, April 17.
