CARTERSVILLE, GA — January brought with it both strife and hope. In the first month of 2021 alone, violence overtook the U.S. Capitol, the nation inaugurated a new president and the prospects of a more thorough vaccine rollout took shape.

Here at home, one teacher was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student, a new variant of the coronavirus was identified and several pets waited for their forever home.
