Who Will Land #1 Recruit Trevor Lawrence - Clemson or Georgia?

The Cartersville High School quarterback is being heavily wooed by more than 20 top schools across the country, and he's narrowed it to two.

The number-one college football recruit for 2018, who hails from local Cartersville High School, says he has finally narrowed down a field of more than 20 schools vying for his talent to just two.

Trevor Lawrence tweeted out the simulated picture above with only the text, "Top 2," this week, indicating that his top two choices are Clemson and Georgia.

According to Clemson's sports website TigerNet.com, Trevor--standing at a massive 6'6" and 200 pounds--is considered the "darling" of the national recruiting services, and is listed as a top-five pick for both Rivals and 247.

Trevor told TigerNet after the tweet came out that the positive relationship that he's developed with the coaches from the two schools is what led to them being his top two picks.

“I feel very comfortable at both schools, and that's why they are my top two,” Lawrence told TigerNet. “That my relationship with the coaches from both schools is great.”

Commentators seem to think either school could be a great fit for Trevor.

"Regardless, Lawrence figures to be a player who could thrive in either system because of his raw physical talent, athleticism and mental makeup," wrote Sanjay Kirpalani, a national recruiting analyst for Bleacher Report.

Still, some think Georgia may have a slight edge over Clemson due to how close to home Trevor could remain, being at that school.

Only time will tell. Several news outlets report that Trevor will likely visit both schools again before the month's end.
