15th Annual Black Gay Pride Conference Through Monday
Atlanta's African-American gay community is hosting a Labor Day weekend event at the Melia Hotel through Monday.

Atlanta’s gay community is hosting what is called "the worlds largest black pride celebration," the 15th Annual Black Gay Pride Celebration this weekend at the Melia Hotel, 590 W. Peachtree St.
Sponsored by The Life Atlanta Inc., this year's theme is “Living in the present learning from the past to shape the future.”
The theme "is a direct reflection of what we see in our everyday lives as LGBTQIA individuals," The Life president Raymond R. Duke, said in an official statement about this year's event. "If we can just glean the lesson from the experiences that we have had, then and only then can we avoid having to repeat the challenge."
