A Cartersville man is $1 million richer thanks to his recent win of a Georgia Lottery drawing.

Sonny Nowell has claimed a lucky Powerball ticket worth $1 million, the Georgia Lottery Corporation said. Nowell 74, matched the first five winning numbers from the Feb. 20 Powerball drawing, winning a $1 million prize.
