Atlanta Hawks host "Thanksgiving with the Hawks" at YMCA
The free and public event will take place Sunday, November 18, 2018, 2p.m.-5p.m.

ATLANTA — Atlanta Hawks’ Center, Dewayne Dedmon will lead “Thanksgiving with the Hawks” at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will feature turkey and coat giveaways and entertainment.
“We are very excited to partner with the Atlanta Hawks to bring this event to our deserving community,” said Executive Director, Gavin McGuire.“Every child deserves an enjoyable Thanksgiving. At the YMCA, we strive to ensure that every child feels included— whether it’s in the classroom, in sports, or in their community. We are thankful to have partners such as the Atlanta Hawks to provide these invaluable experiences.”

The Hawks are also partnering with the YMCA of Metro Atlanta to provide youth basketball and cheerleading programs at YMCAs across metro Atlanta. The YMCA provides financial assistance for families who cannot afford the full cost of the Y's programs.
