Bomb Threat Made at Brown Middle School

The school was evacuated after a suspicious package was found on campus.

ATLANTA, GA -- Brown Middle School in Atlanta's West End was evacuated on Wednesday after a bomb threat was made and a suspicious package was discovered.

Police and other law enforcement agencies are investigating, according to 11 Alive.

“Atlanta Public Schools can confirm that Brown Middle School received a bomb threat. The school was placed on lockdown while the Atlanta Police and the Department of Homeland Security swept the campus. They found a bag and advised the school administrators to evacuate the building. APD and Homeland Security are currently analyzing the contents of the bag. All students and staff are safe.”
