Ex-Atlanta Officer Gets 90 Days For Kicking In Ex-Fiancée's Door

ATLANTA, GA -- A former Atlanta police officer was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in jail for kicking in his ex-fiancée's door, Henry County authorities said. Phillip Barresi, 30, was accused of barging into the woman's Locust Grove home in November 2016 during a confrontation.

When he stormed into his beau's home, the 30-year-old former lawman had his police uniform on and had his hand on his police-issued handgun, according to testimony from witnesses.

Barresi was sentenced to a 12-month term with 90 days behind bars in the Henry County jail. He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine. Additionally, he was barred fromo further contact with his ex and the witnesses.
