First 'Black Conservative Summit' 11 a.m. Today at Capitol
Black Republicans and conservatives will meet to discuss a range of topics, including the Republican Primary.

The metro area's first 'Black Conservative Summit' is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Georgia State Capitol.
The event—in Room 125—will include free lunch, panel discussions and speakers from across the state including Vivian Childs, the first African-American Republican Party Chair of Georgia's 8th Congressional District, in the Warner Robbins area. Organizers are encouraging Democrats and independent voters to attend.
"We want people to know that everyone is invited," said Lelia Mack-Hagood, founder of the Downtown Atlanta Republican Women's Group and the 5th District director for the Georgia Federated of Republican Women.
