The Fulton County School System recently received three national recognitions that “acknowledge its efforts to provide the public with comprehensive and user-friendly financial information,” the system said in a press release.
The awards were given by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and the National Purchasing Institute (NPI). Each of the organizations used a panel of reviewers to evaluate the school system’s financial documents and determined that they served effectively as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and a communication tool.
