Let’s Talk about Race: A Children’s Panel Discussion

Spelman College Museum of Fine Art hosts an intergenerational conversation about race and schools in Atlanta

Let's Talk about Race is an intergenerational conversation about race and schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Children will discuss how metro Atlanta schools can provide safe spaces for cultural and racial differences.

The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Andrea Lewis, assistant professor and chair of the Spelman College Education Department and author of the children’s book, Valerie’s New Friends. Dr. Lewis' book is a true story of friendship that demonstrates how differences among children can lead to acceptance.

The event is presented by the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art on Sanday, April 15 at 3 p.m. To learn more or to participate in the discussion, visit Spelman.edu.
