Man Indicted In Slaying Aboard MARTA Train
Fulton County jury returns a 13-count indictment against Chauncey Daniels, 36, who allegedly opened fire on 4 people in West Lake station.

ATLANTA, GA -- An Atlanta man has been indicted in the shooting death of a MARTA train passenger and three others, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced Friday. Chauncey Daniels, 36, was indicted by a Fulton grand jury in the April 13 shooting aboard a MARTA train, which Patch previously reported.
The 13-count indictment alleges that at the West Lake MARTA Station, Daniels opened fire on four people aboard an eastbound train, fatally wounding one person. Zachariah Hunnicutt succumbed to his injuries and was lying on the floor when MARTA police officers responded to the incident, Howard said in a news release.
Surveillance video shows Daniels walk toward Hunnicutt and opening fire, Howard said. All four victims fall to the ground with Hunnicutt attempting to shield his head with his hands. "The video shows Daniels walk up and continue shooting at Hunnicutt until either the gun jammed or he ran out of bullets," Howard said in the release.
