MARTA Driver Blacks Out, Crashes Into Ditch; 21 Hurt: Report

A MARTA driver blacked out Friday morning in Clayton County, veering her bus into the ditch. About 21 people were injured.

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA -- Nearly two dozen people were injured Friday when a MARTA bus driver lost consciousness behind the wheel and crashed the vehicle in a ditch Friday, according to news reports. The driver, who has not been identified, was hurt as well in the crash, which happened in Clayton County.

One of the MARTA passengers is a child, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, citing Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah.
