National Church Residences Receives $100,000 COVID-19 Funding
National Church Residences receives additional $100,000 in COVID-19 relief funding from Fulton County.

ATLANTA – The Fulton County Board of Commissioners awarded a $100,000 grant to National Church Residences to provide critical needs to citizens adversely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. This grant is in addition to the original funding awarded on April 1, 2020 from the Fulton County COVID-19 Emergency Relief fund for $250,000. This second award was approved during the June 3, Fulton County Board of Commissioners meeting. The award is part of The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (The CARES Act)
The organization will continue to administer a centralized, on-demand food hub service for older adults, formerly homeless and people with disabilities in the county. The grant also will continue to support the immediate needs of National Church Residences’ senior residents, which includes food insecurity, rental assistance, transportation, combating social isolation and providing personal protective equipment, as well as other critical needs.
“Sincere gratitude to Chairman Robb Pitts, Dr. Pamela Roshell, Ladisa Onyiliogwu, Kenn Vanhoose and all of our Fulton County leaders for continuing to provide resources to our seniors amid this unfolding COVID-19 pandemic,” said Population Health Director, Jacque Thornton of National Church Residences. “Your humanitarian commitment will continue to sustain vital services for 1,400 seniors living in our communities.”
