News Nearby: Tons of Christmas Hams Scattered on S. Fulton Parkway Exit Ramp

No injuries, but tons of ham on the road this morning

The S. Fulton Parkway exit ramp at I-85 was closed for a few hours Thursday morning as hazmat crews rushed to the area to clean up after a tractor trailer dumped fuel and its load after tipping over going around the curve.

According to WSB, "the Fulton County fire chief said wrecks happen all the time on the ramp."

News reports say that the truck was carrying 20 tons of christmas hams, that had to be removed from the roadway.  The truck also, "spilled a couple hundred gallons or more of diesel fuel," says WSB.

The driver of the truck was in good condition.  The ramp will be re-opened once it has been cleaned up and deemed safe for travel.
