Remember: Trash Pick-Up Services Delayed 1 Day Due to Veteran's Holiday

The Department of Public Works, Office of Solid Waste Services was closed on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013.  Pick-up of household garbage, yard trimmings, recycling and other services will be postponed by one day. 

Holidays that fall on Monday postpone all pickups for that week by one day. Holidays that fall on Friday, Saturday or Sunday do not impact regularly scheduled pick up days. Collections continue on the customer’s regularly scheduled pick-up day.

The Department of Public Works will observe the following holiday pick-up schedule for the upcoming holiday season:

  • Christmas Day, Next day pick-up
  • New Year’s Day, Next day pick-up
