Special Fulton Schools Retreat Tuesday

The Fulton County Board of Education will meet for a retreat, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the district’s North Transportation Center, according to an e-mail news release Monday.

District policy states that all meetings of the school board are open to the public unless designated as executive session where, by law, the board must convene in private to discuss land, legal or personnel items.

Fulton School spokeswoman Susan Hale said Monday that the retreat  meeting is open to the public but it will primarily focus on housekeeping items and give board members a chance to review existing documents. Hale said there is not a formal agenda for the meeting.

The transportation facility is located at 410 South Main St. in Alpharetta.
