Stevie Wonder to Serenade Joseph Lowery Sunday
The legendary singer/songwriter is headlining a long list of top local and international performers who will join in the civil rights icon's 90th birthday party, hosted by CNN's Soledad O'Brien.
Stevie Wonder is one of many top performers set to celebrate the 90th birthday of Cascade Heights resident and .
Hosted by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and CNN's ,"His Words—Our Gift," touted as a musical and theatrical experience, will feature performances by Jennifer Holliday, Peabo Bryson, Tramaine Hawkins, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Cicely Tyson, Dawnn Lewis, Cassi Davis and the Morehouse and Spelman glee clubs, according to a release Friday by Tracye Bryant of Azye Entertainment, Inc.
The event begins 6 p.m. Sunday at Symphony Hall. Tickets are $50, $75 and $100 and available for purchase on the Woodruff Arts Center ticket webpage or at Atlanta Symphony Hall.
