Well Known Atlanta Institution Breaks World Record

For its 49th Anniversary, Hillside International Truth Center - an independent New Thought, non-denominational spiritual center - planned 49 hours of programming on ZOOM, the popular online communications platform, beginning 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24 and concluding that following Saturday night.

Over 300 people from around the world joined Hillside's "BREAKTHROUGH 2020 - Love, Peace and Harmony" conference on ZOOM . Over 100-thousand more connected on social media platforms.

The conference featured spiritual heavyweights, Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith, Les Brown, Xavier Eikerenkoetter, Bishop Carlton Pearson, Iyanla Vanzant, Marianne Williamson, Master Zhi Gang Sha, Gary Zukav, to name a few.

Although conference organizers originally intended to present 49 hours of spiritual representing the 49 years of the Hillside International Truth Center and its Founder, Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King, the event was deemed so successful that Hillside's Executive Bishop, Jack L. Bomar, decided to round it out to 50!

That makes the new record held by Hillside 50 hours of continuous ZOOM programming - clearly shattering the old record of 23 hours and 39 minutes held by "Jono and Ben" - hosts of a New Zealand news and entertainment TV program in May 2020.

Hillside's physical plant has been closed during the pandemic but services and programs have continued on the Center's digital channels on the internet and on ZOOM.

Conference participants also enjoyed activities such as meditation, workshops on Reiki healing, Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, relationships and more. Some sessions are archived on the Hillside International Facebook page.

Next year's 50th Anniversary celebration promises to be a spectacular commemoration honoring the work that the Hillside International Truth Center has done in transforming and healing lives and providing service to the community since 1971.
