10K/5K Benefiting Forsyth Youth Coming This Weekend
The race sets off on Saturday morning from Fowler Park in Cumming.

Runners looking to get a head start on their Peachtree Road Race conditioning or those looking to benefit a great local cause are encouraged to come out to Fowler Park Saturday morning to tackle the Princess and Pirate 10K/5K.
The chip-timed races begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the event website. The 5K race can be used as a Peachtree qualifier. A Little Matey Fun Run is also scheduled for the little ones.
Participants can enjoy free after-race photos and live entertainment once they cross the finish line, the event website says.

Prizes will be award for the best overall male/female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers. 1st, 2nd, 3rd awards will also be handed out to participants in each 5-year age group between 10-and-under and 65-plus, the website says.
Runners who come dressed in their best pirate or princess garb are also eligible for prizes.

All proceeds from Saturday’s race go to Jesse’s House and the Bald Ridge Lodge, two Forsyth County nonprofits dedicated to improving the lives of the county’s young people.
Registration for the 5K is $35, while registration for the 10K is $45. The Little Matey Fun Run is $15. Fees can be paid the morning of the race or at Totally Running in Cumming.
