2 Children Make Threats Against Forsyth Schools, Arrested: Police

Students from Denmark High and a North Forsyth Middle School have been arrested, both for terroristic threats, according to deputies.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — A 17-year-old from Denmark High School and a middle school student from North Forsyth Middle School have been arrested, both for terroristic threats against the school, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m., FCSO received information about a 17-year-old male who had made a threat to harm himself and a threat against Denmark High School in southeast Forsyth County.

Forsyth Deputies converged on the home where he was living. FCSO investigated and determined the 17-year-old made the threats and he was arrested for terroristic threats and disruption of a public school.

He is currently in the Forsyth County Jail. According to police, at no time was the 17-year-old on the campus of Denmark High School or any other school.

At the same time we were investigating this case, FCSO responded to North Forsyth Middle School in reference to a middle school student making a threat. The middle school student was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and removed from the school. There was never a danger at the school from the threat, according to police. The threat was verbal. The middle school student is now in the jurisdiction of Juvenile Court.

Police say they were able to resolve the threats by working closely with the Forsyth County Schools.

Police say within minutes of receiving the threats, FCSO responded with deputies and detectives working hand in hand with the Forsyth County School administrators. They remind the public that if they see something, they should say something.
